How commission is applied
Exchange odds are converted to effective odds before any arb maths: eff = 1 + (odds − 1) × (1 − commission). A Betfair back at 3.00 with 5% commission is treated as 2.90 effective. Arb cards show both the raw and effective price, so what you see is the real post-commission margin.
